DESCRIPTION:
This seven-level, 577,000 SF cast-in-place parking structure provides 1,877 stalls for the County of San Diego Operations Center, combining efficient long-span post-tensioned construction with durable and sustainable design elements.
Developed as a design-build project, the structure incorporates ductile framing, precast concrete cladding along the west elevation, and perforated metal screens that provide natural ventilation and visual texture. A separate masonry and glass-clad stair and elevator tower anchors vertical circulation, while rooftop solar canopies offer shade for vehicles and contribute to on-site energy generation.
Winner of a County-sponsored design-build competition. Completed by Parking Design Solutions, a GAA joint venture.
