SDG&E's Savings by Design energy efficiency program recently recognized Legacy and GAA Architects of Irvine with cash awards for their environmentally conscious design measures during the construction of the Mission Ridge development in Mission Viejo. The rebate for these types of projects can be significant with reimbursements to the development team often in the six figures. Guided by the program's energy conservation measures, the GAA design team was able to guarantee long term savings in maintenance and operations for their client, Legacy Partners, while easing the burden on not only the environment but the already strained Public Utility system.
